From 1 October 2026, Queensland artists and communities will be able to access touring support services through the Regional Arts Services Network (RASN).
This marks the fourth iteration of QTouring Services, a Queensland Government initiative which was previously managed by the former Artslink, followed by Circa and most recently, Stage Queensland.
Under the management of RASN, touring services will benefit from a broader regional arts focus, drawing on the expertise and networks of RASN’s regionally-based arts advisors. Touring support will continue to include brokering relationships between artists and presenters, building touring skills and capacity, and providing advice and resources.
The QTouring website will remain accessible, including its directory of works and presenter profiles, as well as touring resources. Artists will continue to be able to list their work on the QTouring directory.
As part of RASN, touring advice and information will expand with the network’s expertise across visual arts, craft and design, contemporary music and other artforms.
RASN will create opportunities for artists to deepen relationships with regional and remote communities, events and networks across Queensland, underpinning the Queensland Government’s aim to ensure regional communities can access high-quality arts experiences.
Christa Powell, the Creative Director of Topology, statewide service manager for RASN, welcomed the opportunity to broaden RASN’s support for Queensland’s artists and communities.
“We are delighted to extend our collaboration with Arts Queensland by delivering touring support for Queensland artists and communities through RASN,” Ms Powell said.
“Topology has a long history of touring in Queensland, and with our regionally based RASN arts advisors, we’re looking forward to bringing our expertise and networks together to build new connections across artforms and with the wider Queensland arts ecology.”
RASN is preparing to recruit a new role to support touring in Queensland. Further information about the role and ongoing touring services will be available soon at rasn.au.
The Regional Arts Services Network is an initiative of the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
